We all occasionally need a short break, after an illness or operation it can be difficult to find a place where you can receive expert care. Our staff take pride in caring for residents, and ensure all residents feel comfortable at home, regardless if their stay is long-term or short-term. Respite care allows home based carers the opportunities to take scheduled holidays or breaks throughout the year.

This maybe for a few days or weeks, carers can relax and be at peace knowing that their loved one is in a safe environment with 24-hour care available. Emergency Respite/Short stay is when the normal package of care in a persons usual place of care breaks down, either because the carer becomes ill or the person receiving care develops a short term illness that requires clinical intervention that cannot be managed or provided at home, but does not require hospital admission. Respite stay will also help build a trustworthy relationship between the resident, the carer, the home and staff.

This will be beneficial to the resident if there stay at the home become permanent or necessary in the future. Our purpose is to help you or your loved ones who come to stay with us,to remain in control of your own lives as far as possible even if your stay with us is short, and enable you to be independent. Therefore we incorporate your Personal Care needs and preferences into your individual care package,to ensure continuity of care. This is called Person Centered Care. We want our residents to feel as if they are living in the comfort and safety of their own home with us.
